Hotel jobs Gulf for beginners
I first started considering hotel jobs Dubai when my kids left school and I felt that I had a bit more freedom in my work life. I also had a look at possibilities for hospitality jobs Singapore and hotel jobs gulf. I had lived in Great Britain for a couple of decades, but before that had travelled around the world for a while, and felt that the desire to leave the country was returning. I read that hospitality jobs in these parts of the world offered good conditions, competitive pay and a great work/life balance. What better way to find out whether this was true, I reckoned, than by going out and trying out a new way of life?
I wanted to sort out a job before I moved, so I applied for a few of the jobs I saw advertised quite far in advance. I organised a few interviews for the same week, and planned a semi working holiday which would allow me to check out the places I was considering living and attend three of four interviews. I was quite pleased with what I saw and the people I met, tourism is such a big industry in lots of these countries that there are lots of good jobs available for well practised hospitality professionals like myself.
A couple of the interviews I attended went very well and I was very proud to receive a couple of job offers. I went for one in Singapore, principally because I had chatted to friends who had lived there and travelled there who had told me what a great time they had had. Within a couple of months I was packing up my things, ready to say goodbye to the dark English winter. I had found a beautiful flat in Singapore which had an amazing view, and made some lovely expat friends. My colleagues at the hotel were great too, and it was quite a sociable crowd, like a lot of hospitality jobs. My lifestyle was very different from what it had been when I was a mum in London, and I loved the change. It turned out that hospitality jobs Singapore really were perfect for me. I’m sure that had I opted for hotel jobs gulf or hotel jobs Dubai I would have had just as great an experience, but the job I landed in Singapore was ideal for the kind of work/life balance I had been looking for.
